Progress through five knowledge development sections using a online learning system that lets you learn at your own pace through an easy-to-use interactive program. Followed by practical skills in water with your instructor. A variety of very interesting scenarios for you to go through with your instructor and master rescue skills.
The PADI Rescue Diver course is designed to teach certified divers how to prevent and manage diving emergencies. The course covers various aspects of rescue diving, including recognizing and responding to dive emergencies, performing rescue skills both in and out of the water, and managing dive accident situations.
To enroll in the PADI Rescue Diver course, you must be at least 12 years old, have a current CPR and First Aid certification, and have completed the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course (or have equivalent certification from another dive organization).
The course typically consists of knowledge development sessions, confined water training, and open water scenarios. During the course, you will learn how to recognize and respond to different types of dive emergencies, such as tired or panicked divers, distressed divers underwater, and unresponsive divers on the surface. You will also learn how to manage different types of rescue situations, including providing oxygen to injured divers and transporting injured divers to the shore or boat.
Upon completion of the PADI Rescue Diver course, you will have gained the knowledge and skills needed to be a more confident and competent diver, as well as the ability to assist others in case of a diving emergency. The course is an important step towards becoming a PADI Divemaster or Instructor.
