What can you expect from the IDC? 

During the IDC, you will learn to effectively organize and present information, lead skill development sessions, and supervise open water dives. You will also have the opportunity to enhance your public speaking abilities and excel at demonstrating techniques, all whilst ensuring the safety of your student divers.  

What is included during the IDC? 

Included: 

  • Training by a PADI Course Director 
  • Theory Presentations 
  • Knowledge Presentations 
  • Confined Water sessions 
  • Open Water sessions 
  •  14 days incl (Prep + EFRI + Full IDC (OWSI) + Mock IE + Free NITROX specialty instructor) 
  • Gear 
  • Transfers from various dive sites

About the course director of IDC 

Your Course Director will be Kai Ibrahim, the owner and founder of Dive Culture Bali. With over eleven years of experience as a dive instructor and five years as a course director, Kai brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the program. His passion for diving and his dedication to fostering a safe and enjoyable experience, has made him a respected figure in the diving community. Under his guidance, you can expect a comprehensive and enriching learning experience that emphasizes both skill development, safe practices and environmental awareness. 

What can you do after you finish the IDC course? 

Upon completing your PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC), you’ll unlock a world of exciting job opportunities in the diving industry. As a certified PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor, you can pursue a variety of roles that cater to your interests and career goals. 

  1. Dive Instructor at Resort Locations: Many divers dream of working at exotic dive resorts and liveaboards around the globe. These positions offer the chance to teach diving in beautiful locations, interact with diverse clientele, and enjoy a dynamic lifestyle.
  2. Dive Shop Instructor: Working at a local dive shop allows you to teach recreational diving, conduct equipment sales and servicing, and build a community of local divers. This role often provides a stable base and opportunities for professional growth within the diving community.
  3. Dive Travel Coordinator: Combine your passion for diving with organizational skills by working as a travel coordinator, arranging dive trips and adventures for clients while providing expert advice and support.
  4. Specialty Instructor: If you have a particular interest in areas such as wreck diving, underwater photography, or technical diving, you can pursue specialty instructor certifications and teach these advanced courses.
